Josh Donati – In Support of Anthony Rodriguez for School Committee - 1 Year Term

I write today to encourage Dedham Times readers to vote for Anthony Rodriguez, candidate Dedham School Committee – one year term.

I have had the honor of working with Anthony in his capacity as an ex officio member of the School Building Rehabilitation Committee. Anthony has proven himself an invaluable asset in his time serving on the SBRC, where his expertise in budgeting and cost analysis has helped identify ways to cut expenses without compromising our town’s vision for a high-quality learning environment. In these challenging financial times, Anthony's fiscal responsibility is just what we need on the school committee. As a current member of the SBRC, a former member of the Dedham School Committee, and an educator myself, I know that Anthony has the knowledge, commitment, and passion to serve our community, support our students, and pave the way for ongoing improvement in our schools.

Anthony also brings a commitment to inclusion and diversity that I believe will be an asset to our students and our schools. As someone who is part of the LGBTQ+ community himself, Anthony understands firsthand the importance of ensuring our classrooms are safe and supportive spaces for all. This is especially important now, as LGBTQ+ youth across the country continue to face discrimination and suffer psychological and physical harm. I am confident that Anthony’s leadership can help Dedham schools embrace differences and celebrate what makes each student unique.

Our children deserve a school committee member who will fight tirelessly on their behalf. Anthony has consistently shown up for Dedham with compassion, fiscal prudence, expertise, and fresh ideas. He is willing to ask difficult questions to drive better outcomes. I have no doubt that Anthony will serve with the utmost integrity and focus on what truly matters - supporting the well-being, learning and growth of every single student. Together, through leaders like Anthony, we can work to make Dedham schools places where all students feel seen, heard, and empowered to reach their full potential. Our community, and most importantly our children, will greatly benefit from Anthony’s election to the school committee.

I hope that you will join me and your fellow community members at the polls on April 13th to cast your vote for Anthony Rodriguez for School Committee.
